Ardneil Hotel Troon
The Ardneil is an old stone building dating back to the early 1800s. It was originally built by a local wealthy lawyer for his family home. It was bought over in the early 1900s and changed into a licensed premises, originally a local inn. Today it is a traditional cosy, Scottish, family run hotel. The Ardneil has been in the same family now for 25 years. Angie Gray, the youngest daughter of the Gray family manages the day to day running of the hotel. The staff are very welcoming and provide individual attention to all of our customers needs. The Ardneil is situated in the heart of Troon. It's fantastic location sets it a short putt away from the golf courses, train station, ferry terminal and the beach. The hotel boasts a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is in keeping with a traditional Scottish theme, and offers tasty lunch, light bites, and evening meals freshly prepared with local produce. Our bar area is a lively hub where you can mix with our regulars who boast about us as having "the best pint in the townâ€. We have a variety of real ales which are excellent, and are very popular. We have a separate function room which caters for weddings, theme parties and small conferences. We can offer set menus of your choice, organise live entertainment, or background music. We are happy to pre-book golf sesiions for you, and provide any help we can to make your visit a happy and memorable one.
